Where is the lambda sensor on a 2004 3.8V6 Pajero. I was looking for it last night could not find a hole or nothing on the exhaust, the only thing coming out the exhaust is on the R-side exhaust manifold a pipe running into the intake manifold(so it looks). My Pajero is very rich hot or cold idling in the garage for 1min makes my eyes water. Witbank Mitsubishi don't have the TOOL to set the air fuel mixture???? If the lambda sensor supply the ECU with mixture info and the ECU sets the mixture what do they want to set on the engine with the special TOOL??????
CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP(just bought the vehicle 4 weeks ago love my Pajero)

THANKS

My 1999 3.5V6's lambda sensor was located on the exhaust, underneath the car - just after where the two pipes became one. They could have moved it on the 3.8 though.
