Hello there,

I own a Gen1 paj.

I have a problem with the bushings on the idler arm (steerting), this bushings are defective and I need to reaplce them, until now I have not found it at all, in any shop. but they asked me if it is compatible with another generation. is it?? other wise I will have to make it my own but also found a problem, the lower nut located on the screw shaft it is so tight, I don't know it is is locked or I just need to use an extender to my wrench to use more force to release it. I am atttaching a pic of the idler arm and pointing at the nut.

Image

thank you.

If I'm not mistaken, that nut gets tightened to 140NM so it is pretty tight on there. Spray it a few times with penetrating oil and let it sit overnight. Apply a blowtorch to get it hot and remove it.

Use a good wrench or socket. The last thing you want is round the nut.

The last alternative is to cut a small side cut with a dremmel in the nut so you can pry the cut open and then easily remove the nut.

I replaced my idler arm with that of the Gen2.
It is a straight bolt-0n, and it is a stronger design.
