Has anyone used MEGA Lube oil or heard anything positive or negative about them? Their price for 5L of 10w-40 SL/CI-4 synthetic is R264.20 and 2L of 75w90w synthetic is R144. Are these good prices? Does it matter whether I use 10w-40 or 15w-40 in my 3.2 DiD?

Thanks,

jeff

I have never heared of Mega Lube, and cannot comment on that oil.

There should be enough info on the net - google it.

As far as oils are concerned, it is probably the most important part used in servicing, and I will not experiment with it. There are good reputable oils on the market, such as Shell Helix (note all the different Helix products), Caltex Delo 400, Castrol Magnatec that all come recommended on this forum that I would rather consider than an unknown...

My next service will be with Caltex Delo400.

I use to work for Henred Fruehauf in wadeville and we tested their grease to replace our bearing grease from shell due to supply constrains. tested and passed our internal and external labs. this has nothing to do with oil but based on their grease they compete with the big dogs.
