Brake discs skimmed at 10000km service

Hi there
has anyone had there discs skimmed this early??? I am new to mitsubishi. I have been a Toyota man all my life. But have changed to MM for the Pajero for my wife. So far not very happy! The vehicle is great except forsome real
irritating problems.
At the service today I mentioned that I felt some shudder while breaking. They reviewed the brakes and had them skimmed. It feels much better. But I have never had breaks skimmed at a 10000km service. My wife is the main driver!!
they reckon it was some hard breaking! Well I said this vehicle is meant to be able to handle off road conditions!!!!
Apparently this is quite common for Pajero!! Not fo other vehicles I have owned. The service person said I should complain and this is a defect which is known to MMSA. They just follow the routine of skim twice and replace on third time. This means by the time my maintenance plan expires I would have skimmed 4 times and had two replacements. This seems absurd!!!!
I have complained to national and told them I would be posting this on the forums. Maybe MMSA is following Toyota with hiding defects from customers.
I will eagerly await their reply
