Hello from the UK.

My truck...

And it's lights...

This is the 96 2.8 LWB with lights, rear diff-lock and cab lift. Due for bigger tyres (33"s probably), 2" suspension lift, new spray job and I'll be doing the timing chain in the next few months too.

I've got a 2.5 highline on a 92 plate was well, but I've just broke that...

Live in Lancashire in the UK, plenty of off-roading, rock climbing, sand running and general mud plugging... almost always in the rain though.

I thought we were the guys that struggles with darkness here in 'deepest' Africa. Those lights are CRAZY!

Welcome here.

How big does your alternator have to be to support such a cricket ground ;)

Currently 125 amps, but will need a 160 upgrade or a pair of 125 amp units for when the deep-cells go in and the rest of the auxilliaries get mounted. To be honest with you, now I'm retired I have too much time to tinker and I like to figure things out from the ground up. The lights were an exercise in fundamental electrics and learning about capacities for me. Now I've progressed through re-wiring the central locking with an integrated alarm, adding HID systems, re-wiring all the internal switchgear and preparing a loom for my auxiliary systems, I'm ready to move on to the next big task. :D
