Drove my 3.2 diesel in an underground'ish type car park with the windows open. In a narrow space I put foot to hear the engine.

It sounded beastly with that diesel monster and turbo boosting ....... and dare I say..... better than the old V6!

Yaa man!

don't get me wrong, I love the sound of the V6 but the diesel sounds more powerful in an agricultural way. The v6 makes me think fast racing whereas the diesel makes me think I can pull a wall down.

I'd have to agree with you here: If I were in the market for a John Deere, I would definitely prefer a Diesel.

You have the pick of the Pajero engines under your bonnet. Enjoy the torque and the low consumption, BUT PLEASE...... don't take us V6-ers on in the sound department!

If I were in the market for an engine that produces as much power as a 5l V8 petrol, and 50% more torque, but uses ±50% of the fuel to do so, I would also consider a ....

..... diesel !






But, wait! I already went through that choice, and bought a ...

..... diesel !

Why do I like the 'sound'?
It 'sounds' like good economy to me!

I still don't understand the question, It almost sounds like you think a Diesel sounds better than a V6 Petrol...
