Rotten Egg Smell

Hi All

I recently noticed a strange smell coming from the aircon in my Gen3 Paj DiD. It smells like rotten eggs, almost like the smell that sometimes comes from a catalytic converter. Could it be the pollen filter that needs replacement?

Any advice is welcome!

Regards

First thing I'd check for rotten egg smells is your battery. The vented gas from a bad battery usually smells like this.

Thx SimonB! Good point!! I know that my aux battery is dead and it's still in the engine bay. I'll remove it 2day and see if the smell is gone.

WOW, you learn every day - I would never have thought it could be the battery!

Only a pleasure  I'm a firm believer in looking at the obvious first - the trick is recognising the obvious
