I came across this link

http://www2.pajeroclub.com.au/forum/sho ... hp?t=15120

I dropped the lower glovebox removed the 2 screws, cleaned under a powerful tap with water only and voila.

The amount of dirt that was there was shocking and the extra blowing power I now have is incredible!

Well worth the 5 minute job!

Thx, been looking for this. Much similar to other vehicles.
However, mine is empty, that is , somebody totally removed the filter !!
Any ideas what a replacement may be???

Thx

Hi,

I replaced mine in November and the filter only is R460 from Mitsubishi! Well worth it though!

They are apparently the only ones who stock such an item.

That's what I did to my "pollen filter" on the Touareg!
The air is clean enough to breath, thank you.

hi guys

i think i have the same issue here. and anyways you posted a link with picture; how can i get to see those pictures to make my work easier. i did get down to the glove box but i noticed that when i touched a certain sponge, it was brittle and kind of would break. i then didnt go any further.

I refilled the gas but at the dashboard, the air in not cool whereas the back part of the cabin, the air is preferably cool. i then suspected, clean the air filter would do. please post some pictures for the procedure

Hallo all
Just cleaned mine as per the instructions. Most difficult part was squeezing the glove box to clear the lugs and drop it - scared something might crack ! I purchased my vehicle 2nd hand in September last year and now found a small piece of the countryside residing in the filter. Thanks for the tip. Any more input on adding a small dose of TSO to the diesel to reduce starting shudder ?

no need to squeeze.

Just open the lid fully, then back 5cm and clip out the clips.
