When: 26-27 March 2011 - Arrive 26th (Saturday), Camp over 1 night, depart 27th (Sunday)
Co-Ordinates: Tietiesbaai Camp: LONGITUDE: 17°51'40.96"E LATITUDE: 32°50'28.49"S
Trekoskraal: LONGITUDE: 17°52'14.97"E LATITUDE: 32°53'40.77"S

What to bring: Food & Drink for Lunch 26th, Dinner (Braai) 26th, breakfast 27th.
Camping equipment (for 1 night) and any other items required by yourselves.
Firewood, Water (anything you need, you must bring from home, there is nothing here)
Cost: R102 per unit/stand per day (6 people per unit Max)



Once again, all Pajero Club members, including Cruizer and other non-pajero members welcome.
Details required, per usual, Forum name, name, basic list of safety equipment.

1) Mcnoogle (Ned) - Basic recovery equipment, winch, snatch block, compressor, repair kit (still no radio)
2) Ghost Traffic (Nico)- Std recovery equip.
3) Nino62 (Achille) - Std recovery equip, high lift jack, radio/s, puncture rep. kit, tyre compressor, etc
4) Blister (Aslam) - Std recovery equipment, air compressor, radio etc etc

Hi Guys,

I've started the thread, I will keep updating the 1st post with all relevant info as it becomes available / necessary.

The initial idea was to go for 1 night to Trekoskraal, but after a lot of digging, it seems we cant really kamp there,
and considering this will be a G2G, would be better to camp where there are ablution fascilities.

There is absolutely nothing there, if it's the place I went to over Christmas. Pack water, fire wood, something to use as a toilet, black bags for rubbish, etc.

It is very nice out there, but it is also very self-sufficient.

We will be in that area on 26 Feb and will check out Trekoskraal again.

P.S. At this point I'm in. If anything changes, I'll post here.

Officially you can't camp there, but nobody will chase you away for staying 1 night.

Driving on the beach and on the dunes is a big no-no. Otherwise anything goes.

SWAMBO's family stays in Vredenburg and Saldanna, so I gathered some info over the phone.

Hope this helps and doesn't throw a spanner in the works.

I've just spotted on GE, there is a 4x4 playground just outside Saldanha called Sandmine.
Longitude : 17°53'21.80"E
Latitude : 32°59'49.16"S

Maybe we could check it out while we're there, I reckon it will be about 28km drive from Tietiesbaai campsite.

I'd love to see that from a different angle! All I experienced was a "floating feeling" looking at blue sky, then I came back to earth's white sand with a bang. I thought my car was leaving on a flatbed!

By the way..........as Anton, you too were sort of a "little airborne", at that same dune ascent, though not as high, it was still "noticeable".......

I don't seem to have luck downloading it on the thread, but will keep it for when you maybe pop by with a storage card, or similar.....

I'm going to try to send Anton's via e-mail directly.....failing that, as Anton suggested.......might be easiest with storage flash drive.

Will gladly share with whoever attended on Sunday, and is wanting to get short movie clips, at my house in the CBD.........with a good Italian coffee.
