Did a big jump at atlantis dunes on friday and my steering column collapsed way too easy if you ask me, had to drive home with the steering wheel on the dash. Ive now removed the break off fuses and made it a non collapsable steering. Was a bit of a struggle to get the steering column back to its previous height

Colin,
Sorry to hear about the damage.
Was this after most of us left?

based on the pic you posted - most cars would do damage in that scenario.
The fact that only the steering column collapsed gives good indication regarding the strength of the other components because the only thing that failed, was designed to fail under stress.
Making the steering non collapsible isn't smart IMHO because that eliminates the inherent safety design that saves your chest being crushed in a head-on collision. I can't tell you what to do but I'd seriously ask you to reconsider that decision for your own safety - humbly as one forum member to another.
