Hallo to all

I,m looking for drawings/photos to build a front mounted tow/push bar assembly to be fitted to my 2006 Pajero 3.2 DI-D GLX. This is to manouver/park my Jurgens Exclusive, therefor it will have to be quite rigid and a semi removable option will be an advantage. I have never seen a Gen 3 Pajero with one fitted before but believe it can be done.
Can any of our members perhaps assist me with this project?
Any advice will be appreciated.

Hi Albie

Have you a manufactured dedicated off-road front bumper, or still the factory-fitted one?

If you're contemplating an after-market front bumper, attached is a photo of Aslam's (Blister) Padj, which has the square tube / towbar attachment, which takes seconds to fit or remove. I think it's one of the most unobtrusive design options.

It's on the lower r/h side of the bumper, if you have difficulty to locate.......that's how unobtrusive the design is

This is what's going on the front of mine, when I finde the money. Note the hitch receiver that's part of the front bar. Also note the electric connection for a winch under the 06 in the license plate. The truck has the same setup on the back, so the winch can be used front or rear or removed altogether.



You can then mount a tow hitch, bicycle carrier, winch, pretty much whatever you want and remove it in seconds.

Couldn't find a picture of a bar like that on the front of a Pajero, but they make them for Pajeros. It's a local company up here. The truck pictured is my SAR squad's new Hi-Lux, currently having spotlights, radios and other electrics fitted.

Mr Winch made me a really neat winch plate / front tow bar. All fits behind existing bumper with just winch cable and tow ball in front. Ball also fitted with "quick release" mechanism if you don't want it sticking out in front all the time. Use this bar to move my 1800 Kg boat so you will have no drama with your van. Whole setup including installing and wiring my existing winch onto new winch plate / bar was R 2200,00.

A frond end tow hitch would be ideal since pajero is often used in the offroad. It really looks beefy having the tow motor and the bulky bumper at the front of the car.
