Front swaybar links - cluck gone!

Hi All

Since buying my Pajero I've always had a bit of a cluck from the front suspension. You normally only heard it when you went over bumps but was extremely irritating over corrugations. I had my car at Mitspro to have the clutch changed and asked them to take a look at the front suspension. They immediately said that the swaybar links are probably to blame but test by disconnecting them and taking the vehicle for a drive.

They later confirmed that they were somewhat finished and needed replacement. Put on a new set and what a difference! Cluck is gone and everything feels so much sturdier. Well spotted Mitspro, thanks a stack!

Hi Marius

Are you going without? I took it for a test drive while they were disconnected and couldn't feel any difference, not sure I'd want to dodge anything on the highway without them though.

I ordered a set from overseas but they didn't arrive before I went on a trip to Mosselbay so I bought from the dealer.

When I came back they were waiting at the post office so I have a spare set.

I personally wouldn't disconnect them as I'd rather have the on-road stability over off-road articulation.
