Hi Guys,
I had my Auto gearbox re-conned a few months ago by a guy who I know would not do me in, at the same time he replaced the lock-up solinoid which cost a fortune.
Ever since then, I've had the sneaking suspicion that the lock-up solinoid kicks in too soon,
i.e. with Over drive on, literally 1 second after the vehicle goes into 4th, the lock-up kicks in,
same goes for when I hit 3rd if OD-off.
This happens regardless of whether I'm going up a pass, and am under heavy load or not, inevitably, this means while I could have continued it the final gear, the lockup kicks in, and then I lose revs, have to put foot again to shift down a gear.
Is there any specific reason why this would happen / and easy fix?
I hate having to go up a pass in 3rd because the lockup wont allow me to go up in 4th.
Regards
Ned
