5. Occupation/Business: IT Manager fer Sappi, mathematician, refer to point 2

6. Family Status: Married to Terry, 2 kids, Duncan 7 and Chelsea 11, all bush babies

7. Membership Of Other 4X4 Clubs & Forums: Several

8. Current 4x4: None and hating it

9. Current Modifications: Empty driveway, broken heart and longing for the out doors

10. Modifications On The Wish List: A 4x4 in my driveway

11. Vehicle(s) On The Wish List: Pajero CK Di-D, I think I found her

12. Previous 4x4s: S3 landy, 74 cruiser, Unimog, 75 cruiser modified for overlanding x3, 60series cruiser, does a Quatro Audi count, didn't think so!

13. Last 3 Offroad Trips: Audi went over the pavement, before that several trips to neighbouring countries, overland up to Kenia, I'm not into trails that much and dont do competitive obstacle courses.

14. Favourite Destination: In SA, Maputland during December, hot and no one around, Outside SA borders must be northern Botswana, Zambia and Northern Nam

15. Other Hobbies: Fishing, birding, redmeat and Windhoek, sometimes rugby, viewing only, refer to point 2

16. GPSr & Map Data Used: Quest SA, GPS 10 with PDA, Nokia, carputer

17. Rate Your 4X4 & Overlanding Experience: I thought I knew alot, but always meet someone that knows more, especially after a few B&C's. I did however travel extensively throughout Southern Africa doing guided overlanding tours.
I also grew up in the lowveld where I spend every availible moment in the veld, mostly just myself a .22 a few dogs and a tin onf condenced milk stoled from my mos grocery cupboard, earliest memories goes back to long before school career.

Unfortunately the Pajero I looked at turned out to be a total onion.
All though cosmetically perfect, as in almost showroom condition, the rest is a disaster.
Firstly it a manual, not a bad thing, but I didnt realise they came in manual. The gear shift so loose that you battle to find the gate.
Power steering is shod, even though they just replaced it, it has a kick bigger than a mule, anywhere of centre.
Totally under powered, I actually looked under the bonnet to see if the turbo is in fact still there. There is no boost what so ever. My previous NA donkey had plenty more power, still crying :cry:

Back to square one lookin for a nice 3.2 Di-D LWB, my wife likes it and wants one.
Anyone aware of a low km <200k at a decent price please let me know

Mine Pajero has been stolen 8 months ago so I know what it feels like
Luckely mine has been found and I will hopefully have it within a couple of weeks
