Front disks for Blister
Hi all,

Just came back from Ferodo to have my front disks skimmed and new pads fitted.
They are however on the min = 21mm and they suggested I replace them with new ones.
But the guys at Alfa don't carry stock of the spesific disks which have the ABS speed sonsor ring bolted to it.
Actually I'm not sure what the purpose of this bolted on ring is, so it's a guess.
Maybe you guys can confirm the purpose for this ring bolted to the disk.

The only diffrence between the ones Alfa stock and my excisting ones are the 4 threaded holes for the 4 bolts to fasten the ring (see pic attached).
Thus Agents only (price not too bad) unless Alfa start drilling and tapping holes into the one that is close to spec which they said they might start doing in order to supply my model.

Can someone give me some input or even a part number or a aftermarker supplier?

Freshman yip it is the abs sensor rotor. without it you will have no abs . I do not know who supplies these aftermarket but mitsu. I have read here a while ago about powerbrake that apparently that ahve kits available all with brake pads.
I do not know what it costs but understanably they deliver excellent results.

Re: Front disks for Blister
Thanks for confirming at least now I know about the ABS.
Ferodo measured the disks and said they could do one last skim so at least I have time to source new disks for next time or buy from the Agents.
Also like I said the guys from Alfa looked at the small diffrence and the guy at the factory sent an email to their head office with a suggestion to add the part to their line, so we might have a cheaper alternative soon if they approve it.

Thanks
Pierre

Re: Front disks for Blister
If it was me I would go for either Mitsu orig or upgraded. Alfa is good but I also have blister and too see what these discs look like after 12 years I would certainly go for Mitsu orig.
