Why??

I removed mine after my first off-road excursion. They've been in the garage ever since.

Regards,
Nico.

I agree! I've noticed loads of Pajeros with the "tips" or front edges of the rear bumper curling inwards, and after looking at how the mud guards attach to the rear bumper, I have come the conclusion that this inward bending of the rear bumper is caused by the VERY stiff mud guards to catch on obstacles and pulling backwards, thus bending the rear bumper. I removed the mud guards before playing for the first time, and I've just never bothered putting them back on again. I reckon the old Paj looks more agressive without them anyway, and it adds at least 5 degrees to the departure angle (on the SWB anyway  ).

At last! Another converted mud guard remover. :D

I agree with both views. Looks and ability seems to have improved. :D

My car's previous owner cut the mud guards off, and made hinges with cable ties to fit them back on. Now it is lekker flexible, and still looks nice in town.
