Can anybody help please.
I am looking for a product "bearing friend" or "bearing buddy", which one fits onto the hubs of a trailer (offroad). This then greases the bearings of the trailer as and when it is needed. Prolongs the life of the bearings. Apperently also prevents water from entering the bearings when wading.
Where can I buy these in Gauteng.

Good theory, but be careful!

What you are looking for is called a Auto Lubrication System, basically a pod full of grease, a spring and a connection to the lubrication point.

But, on a wheel bearing I would not suggest that, as the auto Lubrication System will keep an unlimited amount of pumping grease in. A std wheel bearing housing on a trailer and its bearings are not designed to be full of grease and you will find that they (hub and bearings) will heat up, causing a breakdown in lubrication properties.

Rather, clean out after every trip and repack with proper wheel bearing grease. Use a feeler gauge to set the bearings properly and take a break every 100 / 200Km and feel the temp. Much safer.

Oh, but you can get them Lubrication Systems from any bearing dealer like Timken, FAG (Bearing man), SKF etc
