Isolating Earth Switch

Hi Guys, needing some valued advise. I've installed a negative (manual Switch) cut to everything, including chassis earth and battery earth on my Paj 99 Blister. I have done this as the vehicle stands for a month or two while I am away. This saves with any draw that might be happening while the ignition is off. Like the alarm and two way radio.
What I would like to know. Is this safe with the OBC and will this practice of isolating the earth and switching on not be detrimental to the vehicle, other than having to reset the radio code and the compass.

It is the same as disconnecting the battery, so it should not have any negative effect.
For the battery's sake, I think an intelligent battery charger (eg Benton) would be a better solution, to keep the battery in 'maintenance' mode.
Connecting a half-charged battery to the ECU and starter can have negative effects.

Just get a solar trickle charger as the battery will drain anyway if just standing.
