2002 3.5 GDI anti roll bar bushes

Hi all,
I am in the UK and usually look to the POCUK site for advice but alot of the guys run the older (pre 2000 models) and i am hoping i may get some feedback in this section, from reading your posts i think that you may be able to offer the help i need.
I am about to replace the above on my 2002 SWB, read the DIY Forum and have seen the procedure for earlier model that one of the members did and wondered if mine was roughly the same.
Appreciate mine has the drop link not the compresed bush set up on the ends, the D bush is roughly the same.
Can you advise / help on:-
Will the D bush be able to be removed without looseneing the drop link ( I was contemplating jacking the car and holding it on the chassis both sides so rear wheels completley off the floor, but now wonder with mine being the later model should i be taking the load on the axle ?) hope i am amaking sense. I will be working without a ramp so getting the jacking point correct and loadings right so that the bar itself remains stable.
Assuming i can remove the single bolt holding the clamp will the old D bush simply slide off and the new D bush slide in and allow the clamp to re locate so i can get the bolt back on without needing additional compression?
Assume i do not need to dismatle the entire bar from both D bushes and drop links, i would like to remove one item at a time.
Any tip on removing the drop links, these look like they could be tapered but not sure, if so any tipsd on how to stop the pin rotating as i try and remove the nut?
I intend to do the rear first then the front - asume they will be roughly the same procedure.
The objective is to try and improve the on road manners alittle and have developed an annoying knock /rattle which i am sure is comming from the anti roll bar bushes although they look in reasonable condition.
All help and advice greatfully recieved, reasonable with the spanners but never done anything on ARB's before.
Thanks in advance
