Has anybody here installed a aftermarket cruise control on their Gen 3 Pajeros? I would like to get one but also need some input on this please.
Hi,
Just for interest sake, why would you want to install an aftermarket Cruise Control?
Are you not happy with the standard one?
If the standard cruise control broke, will it not be a better option to replace it with a standard unit?
Cheers

I have the Gen3 GLX - they do not have cruise control, only the GLS.
Hi,
Sorry, my bad.
Question remains if it is possible to fit the standard cruise control unit from the GLS on the GLX?
Then you can compare that costs with aftermarket products.

Yes, that is a good idea - will contact the dealers and other suppliers.Skillie wrote:Hi,

I'm a gonna keep an eye on this thread. I had a vision that there is a Gen 4 GLX in my future. Never know - sometimes dreams can come true.
And a Pajero MUST have a cruise control!

I have had a BesTech AutoCruise cruise control installed in my Gen3 DiD GLX. I was at the stealers first to enquire about installing the same cruise control like the GLS models and they told me it was impossible. Diesel Electric told me they could only install on petrol Paj models.macjohnw wrote:<null>
I got the number of a Paj technician at the stealers who installs cruise control systems after hours and I contacted him.
I'm very happy with the AutoCruise in my Paj. It has a left hand steering column stalk with a status indicator lamp on the stalk. Besides the "resume" function it also has two programmable buttons for pre-programmed speeds. I'ved programmed 110km/h into the one button and 130km/h into the other. These speeds can be changed at any time but are not lost when the ignition is switched off.
It cost me R6000 (installed) six months ago. Go to http://www.bestech.co.za to find an installer in your area.
I hope this helps.
I think the Gen4 GLX comes standard with cruise control.RoelfleRoux wrote:Mac,
