This might be a next project depending on the answers I get.
2. The top part. Is it bolted through the door or does it hook on top?
3. The bottom. Is it bolted through existing holes or are new ones drilled to secure it?
4. Does it ever get in the way?
1. If you have this installed, do you use it?That one seems to clip into the window frame!
The best one I saw was bolted top and bottom, but was hinged (with a retracting spring), so that when weight is put on it, it rests on the bumper. When there is no weight on it, the spring lifts it clear of the bumper, so that the door can open.
That way it does not transfer all that weight onto the hinges.
PS I use my bumper and spare wheel as steps to get onto the roof carrier.
Works for me.

You dont need to to go down as far as that. Mine is bolted to the top of the doorframe and above the number plat (below the handle)
Never had an issue using that and the spare wheel as steps

1. Yes
2. Hooked over the top of the door
3. Use existing holes ( mine does not go as low as in your pic )
4. No. It's actually nice protection for the rear door against branches, etc.
Nico.

Thanx for your replies
I liked this idea Nico's friend had.

In all fairness I did copy that picture off a website selling parts. I think they just took one and propped it at the rear of the nearest Pajero and took the photo.4ePajero wrote:That one seems to clip into the window frame!
