4X4 Lights on dash 3.2DID 2002 LWB Man
Hi Guys
The left bottom green light of the 2x4 indication pair is dead, all seems well with the drive system. How difficult is it to change it, is it filament lamps or Led's ? - Will working in that part of the instrument cluster influence the air bag system.
Will appreciate if anybody has some advice. Nice wiring diagram will also do.
Wonderful forum, thanks for all the interesting info, news and sharing of knowledge, learnt al lot on this site - THANKS!!

Have same issue. Bottom Right light is dead.
Been driving since 22 Dec 2010 with it dead.

Also would be nice to know about a DIY fix on this if not to complicated

HI

Look for two screws up in the instrument cluster above the gauges. Remove them,Then you will see 4 screws holding the cluster in place, remove them and gently pull the cluster out. It might take a little wiggle, but It comes straight out. Swap the blown globes and put back again. Just make sure the 2 metal clips where the screws go in are still inplace.

hope this helps

This forum is fantastic. I have been stressing about the quote I got from the agents about the same problem. Who would have thought the solution to be so simple. Thanks guys!

Re: 4X4 Lights on dash 3.2DID 2002 LWB Man
some of my lights are also dead but decided to order some replacement LEDs from Ebay. They should be here in the next few weeks.

I'll post some pics one it's done.
Re: 4X4 Lights on dash 3.2DID 2002 LWB Man
Thank you for instructions on how to change and fix the bulbs.
One little problem however, phoned the agent in Somerset West yesterday, re availability and price for the 4X4 indicator lights - no stock at all, will have to come from Japan - R52 per bulb. Not sure which agent sold them for R15 each.
Will order LEDs, but not sure how to fix them into the fitting for the normal bulbs.

I went to the local electronics shop and bought led's and resistors. Used the existing bulb holders and everything has been working fine for over a month. Not even fifty bucks and spent 45 minutes to do the job. Sorted.
