Hope you guys can help me. The master cylinder on my 1998 Pajero 3 liter is giving notice. Mitshibushi say it will take 4 to 6 weeks to order parts from Japan. I am going on leave beginning of December so that will not help much. Do any of you know where I can get a mater cylinder and slave or a kit.
Then someone else I spoke to says that the 3 Liter Colt and the Pajero uses the same master cylinder and slave. Is that true?
Thank you so much for your assistance.
Nico

if you have a secondary means of transport, take the cylinder off and take it to all your local spares places. They are bound to have one that will marry up as many manufacturers outsource their master and slave cylinders and you mustn't be surprised to notice that sometimes toyota shares these parts with mitsus.
I know my work bakkie (mazda 2.5) has many mitsu electrics on it.

Thanks. You folks are always helpful. It is good to know this information especially if you have a breakdown far from home. I also found a kit from Mitspro. Someone you can also count on when need. They just did a great service to my car.

are you sure it's not serviceable?
My bike's master cylinder was sticking in the closed position.
I unbolted it, spent 15 minutes pumping prepsol and then clean ATF through. Put it back, bled the system and bob's my uncle! Now to find a bloody buyer for it!
