I want to do the wild coast eco trail next weekend.

I want to set off at daybreak Saturday and drive inland to Mazeppa, have lunch/brunch and set out on the trail South down to Kei Mouth.

I would then like to camp at Double Mouth for the night and make a red piece of meat a more brownish colour

Whose up for it?

After the last few days' rain, you are going to have fun.
Take a few spades and employ a few labourers!

Would have loved to go, but it is short notice after our extended absence.

I don't want to go alone due to the rain so if I can't find a partner I'll have to postpone.

First weekend in December maybe? If it's just two vehicles we can share a campsite that I'll cover. One has to eat anyway and the round trip is less than 400km.

I have a little 9 week old boy at the moment so overnight non-work trips are unfortunately put on hold for now

a bunch of work colleagues have been working on the Centane to Mazeppa road this week and returned to the office around liunchtime today..their recommendation is to avoid that road for the next few days...too much fun and games to be had and the locals are insisting that they "own" the route down the middle of the road forcing you into the muck on the verges..."entertaining" if you travelling with someone who can tow you out
