Need Spacers on Gen3 Pajero

Hi All,
I sold my Ford and got a 2005 Pajero 3.2 Di-D LWB. I am very happy with it so far, only done about 2000km but still happy.
I've been to Rafters track with a friend and he mentioned that if I lift the Pajero 2" I won't have much issues regarding 4x4.
Now I want to know, I have read about the Ironman Shocks and springs BUT I don't have 12k to that.
I also read somewhere about coil spacers ( Where can I get it and how much? )I phoned Safari Centre and they only talked about other shocks and spring. Nothing about spacers.
I read that you can do a subframe lift, did anybody try this and know where I can get? and maybe price.
Please let me know anybody that did a lift with any spacers type lift, I would like to hear your comments and tips please....!!
Thanks

Rather go with the coil spacers.
A body lift is not as easy as it sounds. The bumpers will also need to be repositioned as well as the radiator, not to mention lengthening the gear levers, wiring and/or brake lines.
Coil spacers are fitted in under an hour and will give you the desired lift. Sorry I don't know off-hand where to buy them.
Gen3 Pajeros are much easier to lift than Gen2, ask me, I'm still trying to get a body lift, but my mechanic friend doesn't want to know about it.
Nico.

Maybe we can organise a group buy to get some discount?
Two lathed pieces and some shock spacers shouldn't cost R1500!

Nismo,
I have a 2004 3.8 GLS LWB. I lifted the front by 50mm and the back by 30mm without any problems. The actual fitting of the spacers took about 2 - 3 hrs and you need basic tools . A trolley jack makes the process easy.
A friend of mine turned two spacers for the front on his lath and including the metal it cost me about R600,00. For the rear spacers I went to a scrap metal dealer and bought iron of the correct thickness. They cut it to the approximate size and my friend finished it off for me. The cost was minimal. For the rear you will also need four longer bolts (plus washers and nuts). These I bought at The Screwman in Pretoria and had them plated to prevent rust.
If you are in or close to Pretoria, drop in and come and have a look.

Nismo,
There is a longish thread called van zyls springs shocks and spacers, mikem can makeup front for R600 or stofpad for R900, rears can be used from a 80 series cruiser which come in under R1000.

End of year came fast so will wrap up solution in next 2 weeks and post some pics from there.
Stay away from SA4x4store, they will take you money and then nothing, have heard a lot os issues from them.
Cloyd, I would really like to see your setup, will give you a call later and maybe pop through today as well.
Cheers
David

David,
Thanks for the info, I will go and read the thread, but basically what I want is the cheapest lift, i'm not towing and wont do too much loading when going away for the weekend.
We've been to De Wildt and it was so much fun, I picked up a few scratches on the back bumper because of height, thats the only reason I want to lift it.
I've made my own rock sliders, it fits right under the side step, it is a rectangular tube thats 100mm x 50mm, i sommer attached it to the side steps with tack screws and it worked like a bomb, I would maybe just want to movie it more toward the outside of the Pajero.
Is mikem on this forum?
