Inside temperature
I find that after driving my vehicle(3.2 DID SWB) and parking it for a while (up to 2 hours), when I start off again, the interior becomes quite warm, almost as if the heater is on. I have also noticed that the centre console below the dash (above the gearbox), is quite warm to the touch on both driver and passenger sides. This occurs even before the vehicle has reached normal operating temp. This does not seem to happen when driving the vehicle after an extended period allowing it to cool down completely, say overnight, only when restarting with the engine not having cooled completely. Any ideas and should I be worrying ?

Could the heater be faulty, perhaps?

Re: Inside temperature
The building up of heat under those conditions is normal. While driving the heat will not build up because the air flow underneath the vehicle and the air flowing round the engine and gearbox will keep the heated air from heating up the body parts. The moment you stop it the heat of the engine, gearbox and exhaust will heat up the floor pan and you will be feel it the most in the area you indicated in your post.

Don't worry, be happy.
