Rocksliders for Gen 3

For a while I have been looking for rock sliders for my 2005 (Gen 3) Pajero SWB. I approached For Fours at the international GTG in Pomona and it appeared that they had not yet done the development work on the Gen 3 Pajero and would need my vehicle for a few days to perfect the design. I then saw Tough Stuff’s ad in the SA4x4 magazine, contacted Org Knoetze and it transpired that he was in Bronkhorstspruit which is not too far from me. Org came over and removed the left blik/ tupper sidestep and took it away for measurements etc. He then fetched my Paj and had it for a week fine tuning the rock sliders.
I am very happy with the results.
All is 4mm mild steel attached to the existing sidestep brackets. There is about a 2mm gap between the rockslider and the body and when I put a bottle jack (point load) under the outer edge of the RS this gap does not close up. I tried this just behind the left wheel where I reckon I would hang up if I drove over a too large rock with the wheel, see pic. This is right next to the front attachment bracket. I then did the same mid-way between the front bracket and the middle bracket, same result, see pic.
Some of the pics that I have attached were taken in my garage and the rest on a lift at HiQ Bruma. Its not easy taking decent pics under a vehicle with a cell phone with sunlight streaming in from outside.
You will note that the brackets have already been sand blasted by my dirt road but not the underside of the RS.
And now the critical piece of info that everyone wants to know; HOW MUCH???
Org’s price is R4 250; I got a bit of a discount because he used my vehicle for development.
If you want more pics just PM me and I can email to you. You will find Org’s contacts in his ad towards the back of the SA4x4 magazine or PM me. I don’t want anyone publishing my phone no and email address on the internet, I won’t do it to him.
Your comments are appreciated.
