Rust on rear doors

Morning All
I have noticed rust on the upper portion of the rear doors along the entire length on my 2005 GLX just under the upper door rubbers. I checked on another 2006 model and found the same indications of rust but only on the rear doors. Has anyone else also detected similar rust. The vehicles are accident free and the rust is evident on both doors on both vehicles.
I will be seeing the agents today to discuss the matter but please indicate if this is a common problem.
Regards
Frans

My 2001 GLS is still brand new there, but it was dificult to put the rubber back so I only checked the one side. Mine still has black window frames which I think the 2004-2007 GLX models were without, so maybe I have an extra coat of paint on there due to this. Can it be only limited to GLX models 2004-2007?
I am sure waranty must cover rust for at least 5 years? Would be interesting to hear the agents comments.
Will await your feedback.

Morning
After meeting with the agents I was requested to submit photographic evidence of the rust. These would then be forwarded to Daimler Chrysler for an opinion. While at the workshop I had the opportunity to check another Gen 3 GLX and the rust on the rear doors is also evident.
A response from DC is still pending.
In order to determine the extent of the problem I would ask all GLX owners to view the attached photographs and check below the upper door rubbers of their vehicles if any rust is evident and indicate via the forum what was revealed.
Thanks

This is rather serious rust for a vehicle that spend most of it's time in Gauteng.
What does the the guys down at the coast look like?

I have a black 2005 LWB with 136 000km on the clock. I checked my windows last night and only found a screw on the back windows that rusted, the rest of the frames look fine. Don't know if I should get the screw replaced.

Any new news on this post. I have the same model with the same rust on the same spot, nowhere else. Agents tells me the factory gives a case by case judgement on the rust and if they fix and what they will pay.

I have a 2007 GLX and the screws holding the uprights (between the two windows on the rear doors) are both rusting. The uprights themselves are also showing slight signs of rust.
Fortunately there is no sign of rust on the door frames themselves.

Any firm ideas on why the GLX is the problem model?

I think it is because the 2004-2007 GLX pajero had the same colour window frames as the body, where the GLS models had black window frames irrespective of body colour. This in effect meant that the GLS models was spray painted the body colour first and then the black paint was added on top of this. This in effect meant a double layer of paint on the GLS and only a single layer on GLX which IMHO is the reason for this rust on only the GLX models.
