Hi Guys,
I have a 99 Blister and looking for Dash Mounted unit where all the altimeter , Compass and level indicator is situated.
Mine is busted . Altimeter does not work not too much of a worry but the level indicator has lost its fluid and I do not why and the compass does not want to stay in tune anymore.
Anybody knows about a second hand unit or will it be better to replace with after market other type gauges?

I took out the old guages, because just like you my level meter dried up :( I then replaced them with a temp gauge, a oil pressure and a battery voltage gauge. I will post a pic tonight to show what it looks like. I do have the old dried up level meters from both Pajeros if you need a spare. But I dont have the compass.

Ernie, I'd sppeciate pics too. And where you sourced your guages too... I want to replace my inclinometer, but preferably with a dual voltmeter.

Simon I normally buy my stuff from Autostyle in Joburg. They have a nice verity and they deliver.

I will post a pic here. I have a set of these on order : http://www.autostyle.co.za/car-accessor ... gauge.html. I will do a writeup about the guage mod when I get there in the conversion thread. Easy to do and looks stock (well almost) once finished.

Paw_by_Paw, sorry for hijacking your thread

Replaced my gauge with multifunction engine monitor MGL avinics. Reading egt, cht, oil press and voltage is read by default when you connect power.

If you look on pocuc or australian forum there are articles on how to replace the fluid in the angle meter

HI ernie

I was wondering what oil pressure sender unit you fitted, and where did you fit it on the motor? I have an engine management module, it monitors my oil pressure amongst other things. I think I have a problem of too high oil pressure, especially when cold, up to 10 bar!!! I was wondering if we could compare to see what preesures at what RPM when cold and warm??

Any input would be greatly appreciated as i dont want to pop and oil filter or blow a seal...

You can use baby oil or mineral oil to replce the inclinometer fluid. I filled mine with mineral oil and worked well until it cracked again
