Hi there blokes
I did knot introduce myself yet, will do so in the next couple of days.I have a 2004 3.2 di-d swb, when i do 4x4 there is no light coming on in the instrument cluster on the rear diff when i lose traction and there is also no rear diff lock switch, only a traction control switch, does it mean that i have no rear locker or is there one but the light is just not working, cause i can feel something like a diff lock kicking in even when i switch the traction control off in 2H
thanks
johan

you don't have rear diff lock. Just traction control.
Remember that the antiskid control will work in 2H as well.
The clunk you feel when going to 2H may be the front diff disengaging.

thanx marius what i pity, i like a diff lock more than tc, but i will just keep my bilitjie standard ,i had my paj at mitspro in gauteng about 10 000 ks back for a full service as i always service the paj myself, freek junior told me everything looks 100 but i must change the intjector tips soon otherwise i will lose my engine, do you think the advice is accurate on 208 000 kms

I trust Freek's judgement but the Di-D injectors are known to last up to and beyond 300'000km.
Mimmo on the forum here has done 660'000+km on his injectors without hassles.
Mine was cleaned at 285'000km and all was good - only 2 needed cleaning. Spray pattern was still good and atomising nicely.

when will i know the injectors needs to be cleaned cause they told me that, you wont even notice anything the injectors are just going to spray holes in the pistons and then the engine is stuffed ? and that is not a good feeling cause at the moment i am to affraid to go to nelspruit for a long weekend as this bilitjie is used only for weekends and holidays
thanx again for the rapid response

Yes there are report of cracked pistons but they are very rare and i suspect extended oil change intervals are more to blame. The oil squirters should cool the piston enough to prevent damage from a ill spraying injector. But if the squirter is blocked or not spraying so lekker due to negligent oil service then that piston will overheat, crack and/or collapse. Not to mention the damage elsewhere from lack lubrication.
Change the oil, throw wynns diesel injector cleaner in the tank and take it easy until you can have the injectors checked out.
