Hallo boys and girls
I am the proud owner of a 2000 blister V6 with 190 000km on the clock.
Some time ago I noticed that the rear diff seem having problem to engage. Its as if the switch does not work lekker. It would engage but only after a bit of a wiggle and on and off's. The orange light on the dash would flash and after a metre or two forward or back ward or whatever it will stay on.
Last week while tested it, 4 months since I last used it, nothing happens. No pump noise, no flashing orange light. Nothing. Dood soos n mossie.
Went to a mate with some car knowledge and he says he think its the switch. Need to open and clean and check it.
I am however notoriously famous for being ham fisted and break more than I can fix. Can anyone of you give me a Sub A step by step lesson how to open up the switch, what to look for and what to do to clean it.
Thanks in adcance
Since moving to the northern cape a few months ago I did a few sand 4x4 trails etc.
Voila the rear diff lock is now working perfect. No idea what the problem was but it now engages with the flick of the switch.
I am convinced my blister is a she.

I'm glad your "girl" sorted herself out
I usually drive zig-zag when switching on or off to help engagement.
