is it possible to polish the clear plastic covering the rev, speedo etc. console ?

Ive used Q 8 last week to polish the trailers, I putted it on the covers and on the black parts of the trailers chassis.
Its a silicone oil from the same company who produces Q 20, its R 59 at Builders for a small tin (havent found big ones until now).
Ive only used it outside until now, but it looked very nice still after a week.
