Hello Ouens,

Need advice if I should prepare myself for something big that is coming.

This mornign started the Pajero and idled for a botu 10-15 minutes as she struggles to go into D in the winter.
Put her into R but she was nto moving, so applied a little accelarator and with a bit of a jerk she was off into the street. I put it into D and the same.

Driving along the N light stared flashing while drivign in D. I stopped and put it into P and back to D, but N kep flashing. Moved from auto to tip tronic and the gear selector was stuck in 3rd gear and I could move it up or down.

I turned the car off and back on and all was as it should be.

I have recently checked the auto fluid is red and levels on HOT.

Any ideas please as the strangeness started in the winter. It seems to be inline when the battery was disconnected at the beginning of may for a coupel of hours.

Thanks

Just an update here took a video on th egear selection

[BBvideo 425,350]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wFTRpQ-5 ... e=youtu.be[/BBvideo]

Showing selecting through the gears
1. R is selected with no problem and engine is engaged and can drive
2. N is selected with no problem
3. D is selected from N then both lights N and D are selected and the vehicle is not in gear
4. D is selected from P fast then D is engaged. but still can not drive forward. raise the revs then the car moves off. this continues for a few minutes then all is well.

This seems to have started in the cold months but currently is happening during the day anytime.

I had the battery disconnected this morning in hope to clear any errors there could be. Will check the error codes tomorrow

I can guarantee it will throw a code which will help you diagnose the issue.
