I want to buy a snorkel from Summit4x4 for R1800, what I would like to know is how difficult is it to install the snorkel yourself.
Is there anyone here that did it already and can maybe give some tips?

I think the difficulty will be if you can get over drilling a hole and cutting through the car panel.

Personally I would have it done, but that is me and I won't be looking when it is done either

OK, I've done it,
I did the fitment today myself, all I can say is pay Bruce the R750 to do the fitment for you.
All the stuff I had to buy to fit it cost me about R400 and the it took me from 12:00 to 18:30 to finish it.
I won't be doing it again. Overall I am very happy, I like the looks so far.

I have done it myself but you will see in the above post, I won't be doing it again DIY, I will pay someone to do it.
You have to open the plastic trimmings inside the wheel well, remove the headlight, loosen the water bottle, and remove the airbox, the airbox also have to move backwards a bit for the pipe to fit between the airbox and the headlight, but this bracket has been supplied.
I paid R1800 from Summit4x4, you can mail
Bruce@summit4x4.co.za,
he he said that he does have stock of the snorkels.
You can hear it sucking air if you gun it and the window is open, but when you close the window it sounds exactly the same as normal.
I can't comment on the consumption, as I only have it on from Saturday so I can't say.

Hi Nismo,
Thank you for the pic
Looks great!!!
There seems to be a gap between the body and snorkel where the snorkel attaches to the body? IS this the angles of the photo and shadows playing tricks?
Regards,

There is a gap, it is about 10mm gap.
The top is about 15mm as I couldn't get the top bolt fastened, but I will try this weekend again to tighten the top bolt.
