Play on cv joint

Hi
I noticed that the left cv on my car has a little play where it goes in the hub-I'm moving it in and out by about 1 or 2 mm insit the hub?
Is that normal? Should I just put a spacer on the outside where the cirlip is to hold it little bit tighter.
The one on the right is not moving at all?
