Hi Guys
I have a 2002 Gen3 LWB. My rear aircon unit is not working/cooling. The front aircon works fine, and the fan switches on at the front and rear, the rear just does not cool down.
Advise welcome..
Maybe the rear unit need some gas.

Would still like to know the answer to this question if possible. My rear AC works but I believe not to it's full potential and would like to get the gas checked sometime.CJJD wrote:I hope this is not a stupid question but where is the gas point for the rear?

The Gen 3 pajero has one AC compressor, one AC radiator, and two condensor units. One for the rear and one for the front. The whole system is regassed from the engine bay, it takes more refrigerant than a standard vehicle as it is a split front/rear system.
Just an interesting note, if the vehicle gets too hot, it shuts off the AC compressor until the engine cools off. Happened to me when towing in 40 degree heat in paarl the other day.

Good design that the AC switch off when engine gets hot.
