While stuffing around I came across this very nice example of a roof console if anyone is interested in ideas, not from a Paj, but best example I have seen, this example is from a cruiser 100 series.

Some details about this console:

Suitable for 100 series VX and GX models ONLY. Aluminium covered with leatherette, includes 29Mhz radio (new), two LED lights on extensions, LCD screen for rear seat passengers, rechargeable LED torch (Streamlight), radio speaker, original Toyota 100 overhead lamp with LED bulb, 12V Hella Plug power point inside stowage compartment.

I really like the concept, but I suspect this particular model will be very expensive (with the radio and LCD screen included).

Something similar and simpler would make a nice addition to any Pajero.

I will start looking for something similar, since I'm stuck at home with influenza.

I have not stripped out the front roof lining (Gen3).

Is there anything to which one can securely fix an overhead console without it becoming a Gen4 rattler?

Hey, my Gen 4 does not rattle.... I hate rattles and though I've heard that some rattle, mine is cool
