Unknown Sensor
Had some engine work done on my 1996 Pajero 3.5 V6 a few years ago. I subsequently found a loose sensor leading from the top of the manifold. Consulted a Pajero agent and many other mechanics but no one seems to know where it should be attached to the engine. Any advice will be highly appreciated.

that looks like an oil pressure sensor or a temp sensor. Has it got a ball type end or is it solid at the end like a bolt? Hard to see in the pic?
Hi. Thank you for your reply. Has a solid flat surface on the end like a bolt. Temp gage and oil light on dash seems to be normal. Was wondering if it could not be a knock sensor of some kind. Big question is where it fits.4ePikanini wrote:that looks like an oil pressure sensor or a temp sensor. Has it got a ball type end or is it solid at the end like a bolt? Hard to see in the pic?
It will be a temp sensor then. AFAIK you have temp sensors forHGVV wrote:Hi. Thank you for your reply. Has a solid flat surface on the end like a bolt. - dash coolant temp gauge
- coolant temp for ecu
- ATF temp
