Hi all
My Pajero has a socket in the rear load space that says "100V AC 100W". Its a Japanese import. What appliances can I run from this power supply, without an inverter or transformer?
Thanks.

I have the same - will inspect in the next week or so, but according to the lable you will be able to plug in anything that is 100V (in other words American appliances) up to 100W - I doubt it will give more power than laptop or small globe.
100W @ 100V = 10 A.
watts=Volts x Amps: thus: Amp=Watss/Volts
Hope this helps in the meanwhile

er - I don't think so! Check the math 100W @ 100V = 100/100 = ONE Amp (1A).

Thats why i am not a maths teacher (blush). The formula is correct but the implementation is not... It is 1A. Which is not a lot...

Most electronics (laptops, cell phones, torches, camera, etc) chargers can run from a wide input voltage range. Usually from 110 - 240V. Check the charger for input voltage and wattage. If it's less than 100W and the input voltage is correct, you shold be able to use it.
Important to make sure what the input rating is on the device you want to use, also make sure it's less than 100W (spec from the outlet).
