Hi All,

I unplugged the digital compass in my 99 model Pajero to change bulbs and when reconnected it only shows a "s" moving around constantly. Does anyone know how to reset the compass? and while i'm asking, the little bulbs look fairly specialised too, are these only available from the agent?

I answered your PM. The compass need recalibrating

I do get that problem on mine when the battery was disconnected.

Press the "S" button and hold till a lot of S's start floating around. Drive around in circles, left and right circles, so an open field or parking lot will do.....or on a windy road and it will, after about 5 minutes will indicate the correct heading. Hope this helps

Also on page 7 of the "Chassis etc" forum there is a compass out of compass post with a pdf attached on how to set the compass including the magnetic deviation, apologies, this iPad and me do not understand each other too well yet to copy and paste.
