Paint protection

Gents,
I did a search on this forum and found only "stone protection", so excuse me if I repeat a thread.
I may want to try and protect the tomato colour of my Pajero while in Botswana later this year, so did a bit of research on the internet.
I found an outfit called "Strippable Coatings".
They replied to my query and this is the basics of it: "PaintShield is only available in a 1lt can. Pricing is R350 (ex vat) and courier (if applicable)."
From what I can gather can this product be applied by either a spray-gun or a paint brush. You apply it and when it is dry it protects the paint finish against scratches and when you are done, you peel it off again.
Here is my question:
1)Has anybody ever used this or a similar product and do you have any advice?
