So I had a problem with my gen4 cd player.On full blast hardly any sound came out.Decided to open it myself and 5min later all is working 100%
It seems the flat "harness" inside the acyually cd player pushes up against the cd while it is playing.I bent it slightly done and bobs your uncle,it worked.
This might have something to do with the stuck cd issue many guys have.
The radio removal is simple.The 2 side vents just clip out.Then you hold the sides of the whole radio unit and pull.That clips out together with the aircon controls.There is an adaptor to the right of the cd unit that links the front section with the cd unit,this clips out nicely when you pull.
