Hi guys i would like to know were is the best place to buy inner CV rubbers for my 96 model LWB 2.8Tdi Pajero front diff? And it would be nice if someone can post me a link on how to replace them. Thanks.

I just did my cv boots today on my Nissan Primera.

I paid R750 (fitment + wheel alignment) left front outer at Autoquip Centurion. They used a universal rubber so maybe they can help you out.

In the 70k km (265 000km) that Ive been drivng the car this is the only money it cost me so far to fix something.

Thanks Nismo, yes i would like to fit them myself so i would like to know were i can get good quality ones for the Pajero.

Best quality is from the dealers. They make very expensive cv boots from silicon-unobtanium or something but they are really good quality, jokes aside. The other pirate parts from any decent spare shop ain't bad, but not the same. The dealer ones are however 6x as expensive, so make your sums and then make your choices. Dealer parts might also not be readily available unfortunately.

I'm with CATS on this one - I replaced mine last year after 10 years' service. I doubt that Chinaparts Cheapies would last that long and they are a bit of a PITA to replace.

I did think about importing some split boots from Aussie land but finally decided to go OEM.

The CV boots from the stealers do last much longer, they are made of a type of plasticated rubber, and feel much harder than the normal rubber type boots. Unfortunately you need a special more hevy duty type of strap that is actually crimped tighter, not strapped with the normal stainless steel band with the banding tool that is normally used - dont even think about using cable ties!

As the OEM boot is made of a harder material, the conventional s/steel straps cant hold it tight enough against the shaft and joint and the CV grease leaks out... Best to have it done at stealers if you use their boot.

Oops, sorry - this price was for the Gen3 OUTER CV rubbers. OP asked about INNERS. I will go back to sleep.
