I am in desperate need of some assistance, my vehicle has been at a reputable company via the agents having the sunroof repaired for the umpteenth time and we are having a disagreement as to how the SR functions, ever since I have had the vehicle, the SR does the following: From closed, tilts up by holding the sunroof button in the middle, tilts down to close by pushing the button forward, opens SR by pulling button ONCE, SR then opens 95%, pull button once more and it open flush, i.e. 100%, now when closing from 95% only the glass closes, however when closing from 100% both glass and sunscreen close.

Please can someone confirm that the above is the correct functions with my car as the "reputable" company are disputing this, oh and they have managed to put a nice 10cm dent on the roof inform of the sunroof and are claiming it wasn’t them...

Will check this evening and give some feedback. IIRC, it opens full,not 95%

I have made contact with another dealer in JHB and confimred that the above is the correct functioning for my sunroof

I'll also play with my sunroof tonight - if the rain goes away.

It does however now explain the odd occasion on which the inner cover "inexplicably" closed with the sunroof

If you press the switch upwards, it tilts the sunroof. Pressing forward on the switch it will close, leaving the cover slightly open.
Press the switch backwards it opens the sunroof. Press it forward, the sunroof closes but leaves the cover behind.
Open the sunroof again, wait till it is fully open, press the button backwards again, it moves a little more to the back. Now close the sunroof and the cover will come along.
