Pajero IO slow on pull away

Hi everyone. I am new to this forum and a recent new owner of a Pajero IO. Well its more my wifes car.
It is a Pajero IO H76, 83000 km automatic.
For me it feels like its a bit lazy on pulling away but once it gets going there is no holding back.
I am not sure if its normal for the Automatic gearbox .
Does anyone know anything.
Thanks
Leonard

Hi Leonard
Where are you based?? I am sure some members would be able to point you in the right direction once they know what area you are in.
Have you got the right Autobox fluid in?? Mitsu auto's are VERY picky when it come to ATF, only use original Mitsubishi branded ATF. I haven't driven an IO, so I cannot comment but generally speaking older autos are slower on the pull away when compared to manual versions of the vehicle, however once the torque converter lockup clutch engages it should behave similarly to a manual vehicle.

Hi Nick
Thanks for the reply. I am based in Secunda, so Pretoria or JHB would be best choise.
I am not sure what autobox fluid is in there. Maybe it will be best to to change all these fluids.
Hope someone can help. I pull away in D and step it flat down then it will go over 110 kmh before it changes. When I put it in L and pull away there is more power. So I wonder if it does not pull away in 2nd in D.
Not sure how to test it............

Hi Leonard.
Many people swear by Mitspro in Pretoria, not sure if that's close to you however. Speak to Freek Snr or Jnr, am sure they will be able to give you sound advice.
