Hi guys, has anybody here fitted some EFS suspension upgrades to their cars? I drive a 2001 3.2 DiD 5 door with a lift kit and I am busy replacing the shocks with EFS ones. Currently it is fitted with OME in the front and TJM at the rear. I would like to hear from people who have fitted EFS products.

I had the EFS installed in Feb 2012, have had no issues. Handling on road and offroad very good. I have travelled on dirt roads with lots of undulations and bumps and rocks etc such as between Cathcart and Hogsback at 100Km/h plus with total comfort and excellent roadholding. Offroad i have had the superior Pajero traction. I'm happy

Hi Ottie,

I have EFS raised suspension & shocks on 2002 Di-D LWB Auto.
Been on for a couple of years or so.

I have had no problems - It gave me the lift I required and shock bushes etc have withstood some pretty badly corrugated roads in Zim, Bots and RSA.

I am happy with handling.

The only point I would make is that I find that I feel corrugations badly at low speed (30 - 40km/h) (and game spotting at 80+km/h is not great). But I can't compare that with an OEM ride so its hard to judge.

Some members have gone the other route - OEM suspension and spacers. My guess is that that solution would offer a less harsh ride. There is a separate thread on that.

The OEM shocks are considered to be well-engineered.

I am getting the EFS shocks fitted on Wednesday.
