Hi there gents,I live in namibia and has owned my 96 model 3.0 v6 SWB GLS for past 4 years.Unfortunately it recently suffered a catastrophic engine failure by snapping the crank in two.As I am sure you guys know sourcing parts this side can be a nightmare,a few numbers by way of part shops in South Africa will be much appreciated.

Try these guys,they are in Pretoria. I'm busy overhauling my platkar and spares that others said "only agents" they got without to much of a struggle.

Good day Gentleman,firstly allow me to say how invaluable a lot of the posts on here has been especially reading up 4ePikannini's rebuilds.To the matter at hand for the past year I have been slowly trying or failing to restore a 1996 SWB PAJERO the ever thirsty 3.0 v6.I have previously mentioned that the crank was snapped in half and as such management to secure one from your side of the river.This new crank has however lasted only 30 km due to I would rather not say.But according to the engineering shop it is that the quality of the iron used is rather soft coz on a slight bearing knock it totally eroded the bearing past 1mm.So as a last try I need to source a crank of reputable quality no matter if second hand(preferably second hand pointing to being an original) but that has not seen a lot of work done to it.Please guys December is approaching and I seriously want to drive ON the beach and NEAR it.Best regards Joe

These guys were very good when I replaced my head. Cylinder Heads for Africa Cc 011 660 6639 7 Drill St, Boltonia Krugersdorp, Gauteng. This was a couple of years ago, but hopefully the same staff are still there.
