Recently the gear selector lever in my automatic 3rd generation 2006 Mitsubishi Pajero 3.2DiD GLS SWB.
Normally the movement is quite light and crisp but then suddenly it required a lot more force and the selection of each gear is less defined.
Does anyone have any experience with or can help with my problem?

If you look under the vehicle,there should be a selector link/cable which has room for adjustment.

It could be the cause of the problem. Hope it helps.
