Hi Guys
Front diff actuater started playing up. Clicking noise in 2H and none in 4H. Started to check solenoids by running power directly from battery. Both working perfectly. Next, checked solenoid connectors for power with volt meter. Battled to get probes into the connector and had the fantastic brain fart to insert two terminals so I could just touch these with the probes, forgetting the lever is in 2H. Needless to say, both terminals touched and gearbox is now in limp mode. Checked all the fuses. Do not know which one it should be, so had to check ALL the fuses. All are good. Disconnected battery so long in hope that problem will go away with reset. While I am waiting pointlessly, is there anyone who can assist?
Many thanks
Nick
It seems my wait was not in vain. Everything reset and is back to normal. My original problem appeared again after a test drive and the vehicle warmed up. Clicking noise from front diff in 2H and fine in 4H. Strange thing is there is no flashing of lights when the clicking starts. Solenoids and everything else working as should be. Will buy some rubber piping tomorrow and start replacing bit by bit. Oh, the joys of my Pajero. She is a tease.
