Top Bolt on Brake Caliper 'siezed'?
Just replaced the front brake pads on my 2003 GLX this evening and the top bolt on the driver side caliper appeared to have siezed. After an inordinate effort I managed to get the bolt turning and undid it all the way, but still extremely stiff to remove. I gave up trying to get it out as I was runnning out of time. I'm not sure if it's corroded in the caliper or bent or .....?? Any thoughts? I also noticed that the inside face of the disk is scoured; the passenger side disk is fine.

I am thinking about fitting a Power Brake kit once these pads are shot, but still need to sort out this problem as i'm sure it will result in uneeven wear of the 2 pads in the caliper. I have previously used copper grease on the bolts for the calipers including the sliding pin sections of the bolts. Could this be a factor?

Thanks in advance, Gareth
